Students in the K-2 setting are building a strong foundation for future learning and success with the Minnesota State Assessments in the later grades. Students are expected to reach certain benchmarks during these early years in their learning with additional support and time given when needed. Expanded activities are available for students who have mastered the material at a faster pace. Textbooks, audiovisual aids, differentiated instruction and other teacher material and supports are coordinated and aligned to support the students’ learning.
