The superintendent shall be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive set of procedures governing pupil transportation safety.  These procedures shall include a plan for student transportation safety training.

The school district shall designate an individual to serve as the school transportation safety director who shall have day-to-day responsibility for pupil transportation safety.
