Spelling
It is important to spell your keywords correctly. Misspellings can change the search results. If you spell your keyword incorrectly you might find no matches or sites you don't need.

Boolean Operators
Boolean search - a search in which Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) are used. Three operators are used in this type of search: AND, OR, AND NOT. These words can be used to make a smaller or bigger search. It is a good habit to type these words in uppercase letters.

AND makes your search smaller.
OR makes your search larger.
NOT can narrow a search. Or type two words with NOT in the middle.

Quotation Marks
A phrase is created when you put keywords inside quotation marks. Search engines will find your words exactly as you typed them.
