The Hibbing High School Alternative Learning Program, long referred to as Night School, is designed for students who have chosen not to continue in a traditional program and are serious about earning a high school diploma. Individuals who are attending a regular high school program may also attend the ALP after the regular school day and are referred to as dual enrolled students. Sessions are held at Hibbing High School’s former Alternative Learning Center building from 1:30- 5:00 Monday through Thursday. The curriculum primarily incorporates independent study with several teachers available to assist, direct, and correct student work. Full-time students may earn 1.5 credits per quarter, while dual enrolled students may complete .5 credits per quarter.
